Branding

Malls, once bustling hubs of commerce in the late 20th century, began to decline in the 1990s due to overbuilding, growing competition, and the shift toward big box stores and online shopping. From a peak of 2,500 malls in the 1980s, only about 700 remain today—and that number continues to shrink. To help revitalize the shopping mall experience, this app is designed to re-engage customers by offering real-time updates on limited-time coupons and exclusive deals. By providing compelling incentives to explore and stay longer, the app encourages more browsing and purchases, helping malls adapt to modern consumer habits and remain relevant in a digital-first world.

What They Do

We make the mall experience a more fun, gamifying and incentivising people to spend more time exploring.

How They Do It

We do it by offering in-store exclusive coupons. Encouraging customers to spend time at their locations as well as rewarding them for shopping.

Why It Matters

Malls are a staple in American culture, we want to revilitse them for a newer generation in order to stop the wide spread closures.

Notifications

Notifications are intelligently personalized for each user by combining location data with behavioral insights. When a user is near a participating store, the app checks their proximity and cross-references it with their individual preferences—determined by the types of coupons they've redeemed or browsed in the past. This ensures that users only receive relevant, timely offers that align with their shopping habits and interests, making the experience more convenient and engaging.

Environmental Ads

Digital signage throughout the mall can be used strategically to highlight the most current and nearby sales, creating a sense of urgency and relevance for shoppers. For users who have already signed up for the app but have opted out of push notifications, these signs serve as a helpful nudge to check their phones for exclusive deals they might otherwise miss. When not actively showcasing time-sensitive coupons or promotions, the signage can shift to advertising the app itself—explaining its benefits, showcasing user testimonials, or demonstrating how easy it is to find deals—effectively raising awareness and encouraging new downloads from passersby.
